Salt air and snapped green stem arrive before the flower. Frangipani then becomes creamy and luminous, threaded with melati jasmine; by the end, a fine line of dupa incense rests against warm skin.

Can every flower become an oil?
Flowers reach perfume in different ways. Frangipani absolutes exist, and a perfumer can also compose the impression of its bloom with other materials. A frangipani note tells you what to smell for; it does not, by itself, identify an extraction method.
This fragrance is also being developed for candles, dupa incense and body & hair oil.

An imagined scent scene
Sanur, twenty to six in the morning. A canang sari is set at the doorway—flowers, rice, a stick of dupa already burning. Frangipani falls onto pavement still warm from yesterday. Salt air comes off the reef at low tide.
