Why is the record kept?
To send Letters from 8°S, administer your subscription and preserve an accurate record of the consent you gave. Benjawi does not sell or rent Ledger information or use it to build personalised advertising audiences.

Joining Letters from 8°S creates a deliberately small record: an email address, an optional first name and the choice you made.
The route is deliberately short. Benjawi does not build a browsing or advertising profile around your address.
The form asks for an email, offers an optional first name and requires a clear choice to receive occasional correspondence.
Netlify hosts this version of the site and Netlify Forms receives the submission for Benjawi. Read the Netlify privacy statement ↗.
The submission contains your email, optional first name, consent choice and consent version, together with the host's submission record.
The record also identifies which form you used. If you choose to save a fragrance quiz result, that result is kept with your subscription; individual quiz answers are not saved.
Every Benjawi letter will include a clear unsubscribe route. Its reply address can also be used to request access, correction or deletion.

A Ledger entry may be handled by the providers Benjawi uses to host the site, process the form, store the record and deliver future correspondence. It is shared only when needed for that provider's part of the service.
The active Ledger entry is kept while you remain subscribed. If you leave, Benjawi will stop sending correspondence. A limited record may still be needed to respect that choice, document a request or meet a legal obligation; the active entry and hosted form submission can otherwise be deleted.
You can unsubscribe, ask what is held about you, correct an inaccurate first name or email, or ask for deletion. The unsubscribe link and reply address supplied with every letter will be the direct route. Benjawi will not send correspondence until those routes are in place.
